Greetings from San Jose

I'm waiting for my plane to Seattle and found they have wireless networking at the gate. Of course I had to try out the technology, even if it did set me back $7. That, or a salad? Which would you choose? Actually I'm too late for the salad as they have nothing beyond security (not even toilets) - which was tighter than I've experienced elsewhere. At least there were bare-footed people to keep me amused - most people had to take off their shoes (not me).

Actually the most shocking thing about this post is that it's 9:18am on a Saturday - and I've already been up 2 hours. If I think of it as 5:18pm, it doesn't sound quite so bad.
