Jul. 2nd, 2002 01:38 pmMy last day before I set off for California. I wasn't planning to go into work at all today, but (bum bum bum) forgot my plane ticket. Back to RAL, just to pick up the ticket. It was probably for the best, because I then had to provide some printouts for my promotion board. Finally I set off home at about 8pm.
Then disaster! My car ran out of juice and ground to a halt. Fortunately I spotted this in time and just outside Abingdon North and detoured to John and Maria's house. They were kind enough to let me recharge (really must get a longer cable so I don't have to scrounge one each time this happens). Anyway it was nice to see them and all the dogs. I should stop off again when I'm not about to set off for California.
