Yes, I saw that today and bookmarked it for further reading. Do you know him then, that you refer to him familiarly?

Yes. He's a friend from OUSFG (one of the older young ones). Pleasingly, all but one of the member profiles are for people I know, and the other looks strangely familiar!

I hope you will consider joining. I think it's a good idea to prod us into doing what we ought to have been doing all along.

I have just calculated and

normally I give just over 2% of my after-tax income per month to charity, and on a month where I've spent more for some reason (say £100 to the Ashmolean rebuild, as we did recently) then it may be as much as 6%. But I have never sat and worked out which are the most _cost effective_ charities to give to in the way that Toby's site does. I could certainly give more than I do without worrying about it, and I could add some of the charities that are suggested, but I'm not sure about committing to 10%-plus per se.
